Special-needs Schools

The staff and children at several special needs schools have received accredited, ICDL, computer end-user training at the Papillon development centre in Rosettenville, Johannesburg.

Papillon also donates used computers and computer equipment to the Forest Town School for special needs children, which they refurbish and re-sell in order to generate money for their Work Experiences Programme (WEP) and to give a small income to the learners refurbishing the computers.

The Sparrows special schools were broken into and all of their computers were stolen. Papillon replaced all of their computers with refurbished ones from Papillon’s refurbishment project. Papillon has also donated 20 refurbished computers to the Hermanus School for a new computer lab.
